The Marshall County Board of Education (BOE) will continue providing free breakfast and lunch to all students, every school day, for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

This program ensures every student enrolled in a Marshall County school has access to nutritious, well-balanced meals at zero cost to families, regardless of household income. The price for an extra milk will be .35 cents, and a second lunch will be $1.70 and must be paid with cash at the time of purchase.

Meals will be served at all elementary, middle and high schools across the county starting on the first day of classes.

Parents and guardians do not need to fill out a meal eligibility application for their children to receive these free breakfasts and lunches. The program is funded, in part, by the local operating levy along with federal school nutrition sources.
